Why even successful people need a Life Coach

Research has shown that people are basically the sum of their genes, and a product of their upbringing – nature plus nurture. This, plus their cumulative experiences and the circumstances in which they live their lives, tends to form certain outlooks and expectancies for the future. When this outlook becomes restrictive we may fail to reach our goals and become frustrated with our lack of personal and/or career achievements.

Life coaches can unlock and release the potential within their clients, to bring about major positive improvements in their lives.

What is a Life Coach?

A life coach is someone who is hired to be your ‘right hand man’ in reaching a desired goal or making a change in your life. They are professional guides who assist you in evaluating and making strategically planned steps in order to reach such a goal. They then follow through with these advances alongside you to motivate, strategize, and be your accountability partner.

We can always turn to a friend or family member for advice or help with something, but how often is that person actually capable or willing to sit with you and outline exactly what it would entail, plan the entire process and stand by you throughout the entirety of the project? Would you ever really expect anyone to do this for you out of sheer generosity, and would that person be equipped to do so?

A life coach is someone trained to do exactly that, and more. They become your partner in whatever it happens to be that you wish to achieve, from start to finish. They will help you to reach your goal in the most effective way possible.

As a profession it is an extremely rewarding position; to help people realise their dreams by primarily interpreting them, then planning, motivating, and assisting in the execution until the desired change is fulfilled.

What kind of change can a life coach help with?

life coachLife coaches are employed to objectively guide you through chosen life transitions, for example:

  • Finding a new career
  • Going back to studying
  • Starting a relationship
  • Moving to a new country
  • Making amends with a loved one
  • Overcoming a fear of something
  • Losing weight and getting fit

A life coach can help you by offering their experience and encouragement; methodically taking you from ‘A to B’ in order to achieve your heart’s desire.

Who Employs a Life Coach?

A life coach could also be described as a ‘life improvement facilitator’, this could be utilised on a professional or a personal level (or both). Generally the people who take the step in employing a life coach are reaching for one or more of the following:

  • To achieve their goals and be successful
  • To find happiness
  • To find their life purpose
  • To do what they love
  • To decide on, or change their career
  • To be more confident
  • To find work-life balance
  • To improve health or fitness
  • To feel fulfilled
  • To find love or improve their relationships

Life Coach Partnership:

Employing a life coach creates a partnership solely based around your personal desire to achieve something specific for you and your life. It is a positive step in pushing for something you’ve always wanted yet for some reason unable to achieve alone. This should not be something that we find demoralising, on the contrary, to hire a partner with the purpose of helping you get where you need to go is a wonderfully encouraging situation that effectively actualises your personal goals.
